Who is God?
I’m pretty sure any attempt to answer this question will fall short of His true glory. God is too large, and beyond any full human comprehension. For example, a common story I tell begins by describing a single blade of grass. If you were to examine that blade of grass at a microscopic level you will find thousands of individual plant cells. Each of those cells is a living breathing entity. Every cell created by God from the beginning of creation for this appointed time to be matched up in this one blade of grass. My property alone is covered by acres and acres of grass, all with their own individual living cells. There is more about life and the power of God than I will ever fully comprehend just in the one blade of grass alone. God created ALL THINGS! There is nothing that has been created that He did not create! He understands every detail of every element, DNA, living, or non living thing. That is impressive, and it is not even close to the tip of the iceberg.
The human brain is our ultimate organic processing center. It converts sound waves through the ears into electrical energy then chemical messages that can be stored for years and years. The eyes take different wavelengths of light, convert them to electrical, then chemical messages, and store them in the same fashion. Every one of our senses is brought to this organ to be processed sorted and utilized as the operator so desires. Neither science nor medicine can explain how this actually works! Our most educated and advanced studies can NOT create nor replicate what God has created here on earth. We make stuff that works similar to the real thing, but we can’t match it. It is God that possesses the power of life! It is God that provides healing. It is God that has molded out of the invisible that which is now to us, visible.
So now I ask, who is God?
Did you know His name is not God or Lord? That is just a title or rank. There are many called gods, but there is only one God. His name stands above ALL names, unable to be spoken by men. He sent His Son to earth, to fight a battle only He could win. The battle resulted in His death on a cross and His resurrection 3 days later because death could not overcome Him. It is the Son, whom is called Faithful and True, King of Kings, and Lord of Lords. It is by His name and no other that we must believe to overcome as He did. It is in the name Jesus where we find salvation. It is the name of Jesus that allows us the ability to approach God. It is Jesus that has been given ALL THINGS in heaven, and it is by His blood that we are made clean from our disobedience to the Law of God.
So who is God?
I don’t claim to have all the answers but I know this fact. God says His Spirit teaches us all things including the deep things of God. Daily I learn more about my King, and daily He guides me in to more and more truth. It is through Jesus that I have received the Holy Spirit of God through which the mysteries of God are being taught to me directly from Him! Let God teach you who He is! Call out to His Son Jesus, and ask Him to fill you with the Spirit of God!
1 John 5:5 Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.
