Deception of Power

Why would God speak too, and through, His people from the beginning of time as we know it and then suddenly stop? Why would He perform great and amazing miracles that are recorded in every book of the Bible and when He makes the greatest calling ever suddenly stop? He spoke to Abraham, He destroyed cities, sent angels, sent Jesus (as the Angel of the Lord), He gave visions, signs, wonders, and backed His Word over and over. I can take you on a trip through the Bible and show you supernatural events performed by God through and for His people! Why then, would anyone support that suddenly with the first generation church and apostles that this power that God has always displayed would suddenly stop? God is the same today as He was yesterday! He did NOT change with the writing of the New Testament, or the coming in the flesh of Jesus. God has used prophets from the beginning, He still does. God has demonstrated His power from the beginning, He still does! Paul states in 1 Corinthians 4:20 that the Kingdom of God is not in word, but in POWER. I have been shown by God that His supernatural power is still here for His people. I walk in the same power! The Word of God supports this. Jesus Himself said in John 14:12

“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.

What does this mean? What was Jesus doing? According to Jesus in Luke 7:22, 23

22 Jesus answered and said to them, “Go and tell John the things you have seen and heard: that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, the poor have the gospel preached to them. 23 And blessed is he who is not offended because of Me.”

That is what Jesus said He was doing. He was walking in the POWER of the Holy Spirit! He also says that we are going to do greater things than these. What is greater than these? I don’t know! But I know that we who diligently seek Him will be rewarded (Hebrews 11:6). What greater reward than to be backed by God in our works of faith in Him!

I openly tell those who do not believe that God is still working through His disciples (the Bride of Christ) that they are deceived by Satan. When the demon possessed can stand in your presence and not be recognized, there is a problem! Many of you don’t even believe in demon possession, even though the Bible is very clear that it takes place! There is MUCH more to say on this subject, but I will end with this scripture from 2 Timothy 3:1-9 with emphasis on verse 5

1 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, 4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! 6 For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, 7 always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. 8 Now as Jannes and Jambres resisted Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, disapproved concerning the faith; 9 but they will progress no further, for their folly will be manifest to all, as theirs also was.

Having a form of godliness but denying its power… Jesus walked in power. Jesus commands us to walk in power. He gave us a written description to see what walking in power looks like. He says what signs will follow those who believe (Mark 16:14-18). If you are one who calls yourself a believer and the above information that has been discussed doesn’t fit you, ask God why? Then listen and obey as He changes your life! If you are not a believer and want to hear more contact me! I will tell you what God has taught me. If you do not believe what has been discussed then you are not in agreement with the Word of God, and thus not in agreement with God Himself. That is not good! You might want to do something about that because you do not know when your life will be taken from you, and this decision is only allowed while you are living here on Earth (Luke 16:19-31). Everlasting torment and misery is waiting for those living in lawlessness (Matthew 7:21-23). I will tell you this… Hell is not like Hollywood has portrayed it, you will NOT be tough enough, and there is no glory to “see you in Hell” it will be the worst misery you have never been able to imagine, and it will never stop.

We are so diluted as a body. Weak and sickly. The stronger are not what (and where) they should be- yet we still can be used.
