Familiar Spirits... With more to come.

 

Lets talk for just a minute about something called “Familiar Spirits”. This is a much larger topic than what I am going to write here but it has been on my mind a lot lately, and I know a few people who are struggling with them and may not actually know they are there and I feel that I need to share some of what God has taught me on this subject. It will be VERY abbreviated for now…

The spirits around us, that all of humanity is at war with, have been here for a very long time. When the watchers came down from Heaven making a pact to sin against God by intermingling with the human and animal parts of the creation there was a lot of bad juju that took place and still heavily effects the earths population. Not only did they come to procreate with the daughters of men, but they came and taught war, sorcery, astrology, seduction/lust, amongst many other things. The offspring from these unions was not fully human, nor was it fully spirit, and they were terrors to humanity and ultimately terrors to themselves. We know from scripture that when Satan fell, he took 1/3 of the angelic population with him. There were a limited number of those who mingled with humanity but there was over a thousand years of this taking place. We have typically called the Nephilim (the fallen ones) “giants”, and many were recorded to be very large in stature, but they were not all excessively large and there was much more going on than what was given in the Book of Genesis. That is not part of this discussion (for now anyway). Eventually God had them kill each other, and ultimately He Himself destroyed all living things on the earth with a global flood.

All humans are spirits that are temporarily restricted to the flesh tents that we dwell in. When we die we go somewhere eternally. The Christian teaching shows that those who belong to Jesus will follow Him to Heaven and those that do not belong to Him will follow Satan to Hell. You essentially just get what you ask for… But what happens if your spirit has been modified or mixed with something that it was never supposed to be part of? If an angel impregnates an animal, or if one impregnates a human, that baby is 100% destined for Hell with no chance of salvation. This is according to scripture! It is an unsavable being, and from the days of old those spirits have been wandering to and fro looking for a residence (a living organism) that they may be invited in to live. Basically what I am saying is that the demons we encounter now are the wandering spirits from the deaths of hybrids, or the new nephilim created of modified DNA and things I will not yet discuss until they have revealed themselves more clearly (may be coming sooner than later). At that point, for many of you, I will be trying to teach you that they are demons and not your friends, but that is a side note. Just FYI… they are here now! Since I am not going to discuss this any further lets continue with “familiar spirits”.

These spirits have been with your family often times for many many generations, and would love to create an environment to keep you feeding from their lies as well as allowing them residence with and around you. The only way to break this vicious cycle is finding true salvation through Jesus Christ, cutting the ties from your past that hold lines of communication to these spirits, and then fighting the stuff that comes with them. What does this look like?

One, we all have ties to the hellbound, Jesus gave us the power to break those ties, but most of us actually like some of them there because they are familiar to us. I know my ties and I know where I fail with them. I also know that I times a prophet is needed to see them and reveal them to me as well, but it is still on me to take what that prophet says to God. This mission is on me to fight the battle, but I must learn to do it Gods way to be successful. There is a satanic lie that is very commonly accepted amongst most people, even amongst Christians. That lies is that “you must walk a mile in another’s shoes to truly understand and be able to help them or judge what they do.” This statement is a lie from its foundation! It is total junk! I will prove this from its most simplistic origin. If this statement were true then Jesus Himself could not help me or judge me based on the fact that as a human He never sinned let alone immersed Himself within that sin like someone like myself has for most of my life. Jesus did not have an alcoholic father, never struggled with pornography, or sex. Jesus was never racist, or hateful in an ungodly manner. I have been, and still struggle with some of that. You do too and if you do not think so, you are also prideful and maybe even stupid. I do not in any way need to have walked a mile in your shoes to know what God is saying for you when He is speaking to me. I lived this example in an interesting fashion. Ask me sometime about the messages I was asked to give my friend Sarah and her husband after the death of their beautiful little daughter Aly. I had never gone through the pain of losing a child. I had never experienced the emotion, and the pain, nor cried for hours on end feeling like you may vomit at any time. I had never been a father who was angry with God for taking his baby. But Sarah was put in a position for a time to be ministered to by me while at work in which I had to say things that were likely not pleasant to her and ultimately may have angered her a bit. But, those things were correct, they were from God, and they were done out of sincere love, and in the hopes that Tom and Sarah would find healing from the Holy Ghost. It was a few years after that when Lexi died and I was on the other end. Sarah was one of the few that I called for prayer when we found out what had happened. If you approached me with advice I would be kind, but most often the advice was useless, as is most advice that comes from the heart and not from God. Until that advice, or the lesson that a situation encapsulated was clearly from God it was not given any weight. I do not need to be raped to help someone who has been raped. I do not need to be an addict to guide an addict to the place of healing. I do need to be in love with Jesus Christ and looking to Him to attract others that need to follow me there. Period!

Ok, here is the familiar spirit part. “Familiar” is literally something that comes through the family, it also covers the comfort one may have with other doors that let spirits in and out that have been opened up by the individual. The spirits that have been able to guide and manipulate your family by training them, scaring them, or forcing them to become the people they became will follow you too. I mean, why not? You have learned from the parents, who learned from their parents, who learned from…. You get the point, you are ripe for satanic harvest because you have been groomed to be ripe. You can’t hide from it they feel they have all the time in the world! They were there at your birth and their goal is to be there at your death! Your job is to take authority over them, right yourself with God, and make them go away! They have been here for 6000+ years doing this stuff, your measly little 80 to 100 year life span is nothing to them and they have known your buttons from day one. They have performed great evils and then created situations to get your approval and buy in many thousands of times from extremely subtle means, trickery, and outright willful sin. Ultimately they would prefer you do not get saved, but if you heard Gods call and answered that call, they will not give up on taking you away from that power source whenever or however possible. If you come from a broken past they will capitalize on it wherever they can. Even after getting saved, one can still have demonic parasites on and in them. Many still absolutely need deliverance but most don’t understand that they do, and most denominations do not teach or understand this principal. 

Someone I love very much was raised by addicts, she met Jesus and ran from Him when she realized it was going to get hard to break her familiar cycle. The spirits gathered other spirits that connect with them in other people who needed to fulfill their own same lusts from sexual pleasures, to addiction, and immerse themselves in a victim mindset. These devils told/tell her lies and overwhelmed her solely to distract her from the only One who can set her free. Just look at society! More often than not those within the addiction community come back to help others like themselves (I believe it is step 12 in the process, maybe I’ll come back to this one.), those who have been raped, or molested, or who have struggled with depression, etc., which within itself seems good… but very few are truly healed of the stuff that came with any of those afflictions because they have not encountered the Power of God. They have focused on the flesh repairs and have yet to find true healing from the Holy Ghost. This is because the “structured” process is just another unattainable law that does minimal good the the person in need of a touch from God. The problem is that many believe they are healed because they don’t do whatever it was they were doing the same as they did before. They stick with life as though they are winning and do not move forward to find true peace with God. Many just don’t know how, or that there is still a better place in Him if they  just respond  to His call. When they return to the group for encouragement they are surrounded by multitudes of familiar spirits that they can connect with. This is NOT a good thing! One can spend a lifetime here and never find the place where God lifts these spirits off of them to set them free. That part is really hard and worth every second it takes to get there. Here is the deal… We all struggle to some extent with visitors from our past. Piece by piece we need to walk away from that inheritance and into the inheritance of God our Father. This is not going to happen if we make a new “law” that we think works and try to follow that law to become better Christians. We need to literally fall at the feet of God, give Him full access to you, and then walk through a lifetime of tests and tribulations to become closer and better to the Father who can and will fix us, even the broken junk from our past that pollutes our heart, mind, body, and soul now.

It is here where Jesus says to take the log out of your own eye in order to take the speck out of your brothers eye. Oh, but that opens up a door for another familiar spirit that is very common. Every spirit that is not from God will not glorify Him, and it will not lead you to Him. In this case many, including myself, thus the reason I know this trick so well, will take their focus off of the spirit of God to remove the log that blocks your vision. In the process of doing this we become focused on our shortcomings and failures as though the blood of Jesus is just not valuable enough to fix MY shortcomings. I am just too bad for this earth and too bad to even be reconciled as a child of God. I will focus on that log and thus completely lose focus on the One who can cure me. This one is a crusher because its just as prideful as Satan himself and yet feels like my endeavor is making me a better person all the while I am wallowing in a form of demeaning pride. Remember pride is elevating myself above God. If I believe that my shortcomings are so great, the next thing you know is you have placed yourself on an altar above God. I know that I am writing this to only a few of whom will actually read it and hopefully understand.

If you are right with God on the subject matter in front of you, and are tighter with Him than you are with the familiar spirit, then help your brother. If your familiar spirit and weakness is stronger than your faith and the God that sits in front of you then you have one of two options. Resist the Devil and watch him flee, or cut off your hand and walk away until you can return strong enough to stand with and be right in the Spirit of God. Stop clinging to those that you are attracting that relate to your past when its completely evil and you just end up soaking in a cesspool of familiar spirits that convince you that you are now saving them from their destruction. You are being lied too! There is one answer and one answer only… Focus on Jesus! Let the Spirit of God make residence with and in you, seek Him and seek Him some more. Not because you have too, but because you get too. God wants you to come to Him for everything. He explains how to do this in scripture. Every hang up, just give it to Him! Every success, give it to Him! Find true comfort by becoming so close to Him that there is no doubt in that connection. Ask God to show you the spirits that you hold on too, for some of you this will be very painful. Many of you love those spirits more than life itself! You must learn that your comfort zones from the past are actually agents from Satan that have been lying to you. When you are delivered you will know what I mean. Ask God to help lead you in this fight. Get close to Him, then obey what He says. Look for the open windows and doors that you have that let these entities connect to you. SHUT THOSE POINTS OF ENTRY! Pray like wildfire on a dry forest!
