The Answer is Going to Be Found in Jesus!

There is One God, One Way, One Truth, One Life, and He carries many names to describe Him. Father, Yahweh, Jehovah, and Jesus are my favorites. His Spirit is Holy, it is powerful and He wants to show you who He claims to be through action, power, and authority. Meet my Friend, Jesus! Let Him baptize you with His Holy Spirit and with Fire from Heaven!

We are called as Christians to put Him and His way first and foremost. Do we do that? Rarely if ever is He truly put first. Those raised in the church quite often love their ministry more than they love Jesus, yet when asked they often can’t see that is the case because their entire life they have convinced themselves that “this action that I am performing shows that I am in love with God” and yet, they are in love with their action. When I say this I am not necessarily suggesting that they should stop the action, it may be good, it may be their calling, it also may have nothing to do with the will of God. What I am saying is get right with God. Place this ministry at His feet and see what He says.

Do you love your spouse more than you love God? Do you love your children more than you love Him? If so, you have gods that you hold in a higher place than The One True God! This does not mean that you are to get rid of your spouse or kids, it means get right with God. Place Him above your spouse and above your kids. You are idolatrous and in violation of the first commandment of God! That command is in the old and the new testaments.

Do you regularly fail at temptation? The fix… Well, the answer is literally to focus on Jesus! Temptation occurs essentially for one of two reasons. I love my sin and I keep looking at it and in turn I am leading my body in the direction of my eyes, or you are being tested to see if you are as in love with God as you claim. When I worded that second example I could have made it sound less accusatory. I could have said that God is showing to the world that you love Him and is doing this by allowing you to be tempted as a test of your faith. In my opinion that would be what took place in the Book of Job. But the majority of people I know, including myself, will say to God that I will follow you to Hell and back and yet stumble at the first hint of difficulty. So how do we overcome temptation? We focus on the Light and we do what scripture tells us at the same time. Scripture says, “Resist the Devil and he will flee from you”. It also says “if your right hand or right eye causes you to sin cut it off or gouge it out. It is better to enter Heaven maimed than to go to Hell fully in tact”, and just to add another element to this scripture makes this statement that I believe carries to all of us who claim to be followers of Christ. “It would be better for you to have a millstone tied around your neck and drown in the depths of the sea than to cause one of My little ones to stumble.”

Satans goal is to see humanity broken and destroyed and if it were truly up to him to do as he wished with us, we would already have died a terrible suffering and torturous death. Our job is to fit in to the will of God and do the Truth! We are called to walk and exist in the power of the Kingdom of God. We are called to have faith and walk in that faith. We are called to trust God, seek, God, Love God, and obey God. We are called to stand up for Him. He states that if we are ashamed of Him that He will be ashamed of us. He says that we must learn to forgive in a Godly way as well as judge in a Godly way. If we choose not to forgive when He says to forgive it states that we will also not be forgiven! It says that if we judge unrighteously that we too will be judged with the same measure. But if I walk with God and judge with a Holy and righteous judgement that same measure will be utilized on me, and that is a great thing!

John 5:39-40 You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me. 40 But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life.

Here is the greatest problem in all of the Christian denominations. We like things in writing. We like things black and white. We like a Christian based biblical Law that we can use to determine who is good and who is not. But in reality, there is only one place that makes that determination… Who gets life. If you want life you must come to Him! Going to church, doing a ministry, or even thinking about Him all day does not constitute coming to Him. The answer to your problem is literally found right there. Go to Him, walk with Him, Obey Him! Your time to make that decision has to be now. You are not guaranteed to walk up in this body tomorrow! Its time! Answer the call and go to Him!
