Pass the Test in Front of You.

I want my son to become what God designed him to be. I don't know what that is, but I can listen to the Spirit of God, teach things that I find to be foundational in Christianity, and and pray like crazy that they take and at some point when he reaches the age of accountability, that he chooses to love Christ above all else. I do this knowing that the world and most of the established church will be against him in this process.

How does one change their direction in the midst of a circumstance that they have little to no control over? Is it truly possible to consider it "joy" to be tested and tried through some of the horrendous stuff encountered in life? Every man and woman has a breaking point and every man and woman of Christ will absolutely be brought to those places for the primary purpose of closeness to God. Every good parent wants their child to become something great. That means something different to everybody who sets those goals for their child. One may consider "greatness" to be a doctor, one may consider it to be a soldier, and one may consider it to be a caring mother for father to their children. But I do not know many parents who do not strive to see their children rise up and do something that adds value to their lives and the lives of the people around them. Though it's not a mandatory requirement to be a great leader as a parent, it is scientifically proven that great parents tend to be the people that they hope their kids are able to out do. All I know is that God above is the literal poster child of a perfect Father and sets the standards of expectation high for His kids. He does this because He can, and because if you are willing, He will lead you in to places that may blow your mind. Do no let life become your limiting factor, recognize that this life is the training grounds that God uses to make you into something He can be proud of. He wants you to find supernatural over natural and trust in Him over what seems logical and scientific.
